LabPop Group attends Social Media Week in New York

Josie Brock, Sales Manager of LabPop Group, attended the 6th edition of Social Media Week in New York, held between February 23 and 27. The event was expanded this year to four dates throughout 2015 in different cities of the world, with São Paulo hosting the Brazilian version in the second half of 2015.

The SMW announced last week its global theme for 2015: “Upwardly Mobile: The Rise of the Connected Class”. The goal is evaluate how technology will affect how we work and live in a connected world and how new ideas, innovations and breakthrough technologies will lead to significant changes in our lives.

The New York version also offered a networking lounge and stand with the top companies in Social Intelligence, or social-media platform monitoring:  Synthesio, Socialbakers, Brandwatch and Engagor. Another highlight of the event was a stand offering an extra-sensory experience to the public, through special googles that allow them to visually interact and could stimulate physical and emotional sensations, produced by BE ANOTHER LAB, a global and interdisciplinary collective dedicated to conduct telepresence experiments using tools with Creative Commons licenses. The machine can be used as a budget rehabilitation system or in immersive role playing games.
